A Bizarre Proposal to Censor Meditation...And What We Can Do About It.

Infographic: UK Filter to Block ‘Esoteric Content’ - Worldwide Implications

Life had been jogging along-and as you know I only post when I have something to say.

But as a meditator, an appreciator of ancient and modern wisdom, a lover of free speech, a computer technician's wife and a lawyer by original training, I felt I had to pass this on.

In a nutshell, it seems that proposed UK filters to block adult content from children will also, by default, block "esoteric content".

Let's be clear. My point here concerns esoteric sites only, and specifically, any so-called "esoteric,"  site dedicated to helping to make the world a better place through any kind of inner process.

As it appears the word "esoteric," could block anything from meditation to holistic healing, this has the potential to impact upon millions of people's ability to access information that can help them enhance their lives, quickly, easily and at low cost.

Leaving aside murky thoughts about why any government would seek to block an outcome like that, here are some suggestions as to what we can all do about this:

1) If you're in the UK, and care about meditation and/or free speech, please sign the petition  mentioned above. (It's at: .)

2) Wherever you are in the world, please spread the word about this issue, and keep focusing upon and visualising, a free, happy world, in which uplifting esoteric information is available to all (including those who have yet to have the privilege of easy access to it) and for the highest good of all.

3) Keep calm. It would be a shame if, in defence of the esoteric, we all forgot our esoteric training, and let anger or distress block our power to act with clarity, calm and wisdom.

For some reason, some of our politicians appear to have temporarily lost this ability. Perhaps, ironically, they fear that access to strong inner work by "the masses," (ie, you and me) will lead to the injudicious use of power.

It is up to each of us to take the reins and each to be the kind of leader we wish to see. To demonstrate by our actions that inner power, esoteric power, call it what you will, can and should be used by everyone who wants to, to uplift the world. And that it is, therefore, the last thing on Earth which should be filtered from sight.

4) See this as an opportunity. An action such as attempting to block people's access to meditation is going to create an outcry. As it should. But, instead of getting lost in the kind of recriminations that would lower everyone's state, there is another way.

What if the outcry were to focus so much attention onto "esoteric" ideas" that more people than ever became interested in what they could do to enhance their world, from the inside out? In fact, the outcry has the potential to move many previously "esoteric," ideas into the mainstream. Making them no longer "esoteric," at all.

If that idea appeals to you, focus upon it. Let's all do everything we can to "make it so".

  1. It is very interesting information that you share here and I also share here with you
    Stress Management Techniques

  2. Meditation is the right way to get full relaxation of life and lots of benefits we can achieve by meditation. My meditation experience is really very good for me. I am thankful to Chamunda Swami Ji who helped me a lot to achieve my goals of life, his knowledge and techniques are much enough to boost my confidence.

    1. Thanks. This post was published a little while ago, and I haven't heard anyone progressing the idea since, so hopefully someone thought better of it.
